Summary column in AutoPlaylist will not stay hidden [#7120]

Post by Edgar »

I created a new AutoPlaylist in MM4; after it populated I started setting up the columns, hiding the Summary and other columns I did not wish to see. I then switched to the "Music" node and did the same hiding Summary and others. Switching back to my AutoPlaylist I noticed that the Summary column had unhidden itself, I hid it again and went back to the "Music" node--it was still hidden there. Switching back to the AutoPlaylist I found it was back--unhidden; I tried all three of the possible ways I could find to edit the hiding of columns and all resulted in the same--after switching away (or a restart) then back the hidden Summary column was unhidden.

I was able to drag it to the far right and have it off-screen so it is not really horrible!

Might be caused by the same bug as this: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... t=playlist

It may well be related.

The steps in OP always result in the symptom for me, other steps reveal similar problems. I am not sure if it is a single bug of not storing the state properly or something with multiple problems in the same conceptual part of the code (i.e. columns and playlists).

It seems I do not have permission to post a picture so you will have to look here:

to see what I am looking at.

In the Album Art with Details view, I can reproduce, but in reverse. I can't enable the Summary column. I do suspect that the same bug is causing this as it's a failure to save settings. 1344 will tell us if the bug fix also solves this problem or that it is a different bug.
