MediaMonkey 4.0.0.1413 (Developer Build)

Post by rusty »

Hi,

Here's a new build that includes ~10 fixes, including further memory optimization to Art views. There are still roughly 20 'urgent' bugs standing between this and a release candidate. We're looking forward to your feedback--please raise (or re-raise) any serious bugs that you've noticed to the forum. Thanks.

What's new? Download Installation:
  • Double-click the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions:
-When prompted for an install directory, choose a new directory such as /Program Files/MediaMonkey4/ so as to preserve your existing MediaMonkey installation.
-When prompted for path to shortcuts, choose something like 'MediaMonkey 4' so that you'll have shortcuts to both versions of MediaMonkey in your Start folder.
-To test video encoding functionality (for formats other than WMV) or to play video formats that aren't working on your machine, you can install the MediaMonkey Codec Pack, available separately.
Enjoy!

Hi,

Here's a new build that includes about 20 fixes. It includes some significant low level changes that will resolve most stability problems, but may introduce a couple of regressions. It's been tested quite intensively, but please ensure that your database is backed up. There have also been a fair number of fixes to sorting/grouping in the various views (though there's likely more to do in that area). There remain about 10 'urgent' bugs standing between this and a release candidate. We're looking forward to your feedback--please raise (or re-raise) any serious bugs that you've noticed to the forum. Thanks.

Hi,

Here's a new build that includes another 10 misc fixes, including a db related fix that will finally make MM4 usable again on Chinese/Japanese versions of Windows. Note: it performs a DB update, but has been tested primarily in clean installs, so it would be a good idea to back up your DB before testing.

There remain about 10 'urgent' bugs standing between this and a release candidate. We're looking forward to your feedback--please raise (or re-raise) any serious bugs that you've noticed to the forum. Thanks.
