Auto Organize
I have no idea why this is not being organized correctly.
Can anyone help with suggestions?

What is your Auto-Organize (files) rule?

Re: Auto Organize
I'm not too familiar with Auto-Organize, but it seems you lack criteria which means it might not Auto-Organize at all. This means the files will be listed under the Library (or Collection node) > Files to Edit > Unorganized Files and still require organization.

Re: Auto Organize
Yup, Lowlander's got it. You have no criteria to define which tracks should follow the rules you've set. You need to assign a set of tracks to that rule, eg. your "Music" collection.

Re: Auto Organize
OK, I set "criteria" but I have never had to do that in MM before.
MM is NOT reading the artist name and organizing correctly.
See screenshot in original post.
Note highlighted text.
Why has MM simply stopped reading the "artist" tag?

Re: Auto Organize
Well, have you auto-organized the file since you changed the setting? You would need to rescan or make a track edit in order for the auto-organize rule to make any change. Or you could just do it manually by selecting the track and going to Tools > Auto-organizewebfeatus wrote:

Re: Auto Organize
All these tasks have been completed MANY times.
And I have tested by adding new tracks - same result.
See top post graphic image.
MM is not reading the "artist" tag.
This situation still exists.
MM says the artist is "unknown"

Re: Auto Organize
Actually, it sees the artist tag okay, but it says that the "Album artist" is unknown. This was reported previously, see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... wn#p312799
Unfortunately it is not clear how to reproduce the issue. It is not reproducible when I try it.

Re: Auto Organize
Yes.
The workaround listed in the post you referred to above = works!
I understand the difficulty for a program developer if the issue cannot be replicated.
However the issue obviously exists under certain circumstances.
I have noticed, at the moment, that my "windows indexing" feature is also experiencing bugs.
Nevertheless, the problem seems to have arisen with MM4 so perhaps this should be listed as a bug report?
