question about moving MM

Post by bonzo728 »

I am getting a new computer today and am hoping the transfer of my lifetime MM license will be seamless. I am following the instructions posted here http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... w_computer for copying my database, etc. By doing this, will my lifetime license be on the new computer? Thanks.

As that post mentions you will have to install MM on your new computer. I believe this means you will have to put your license info in. At least that is what I always do
Where's the db and ini stored
Reporting Bugs
Where tags are stored

No, that article describes only the process to make sure that your MM database (with playcounts, playlists, etc.) work properly on a new computer. Other settings like the license key and skins/UI of MM are not stored in the database.
