Woohoo!! Great news :)

MM is the only reason why I still have Windows running!

A Linux port would be cool, I am dual booting Mint with windowz H8 at the moment..having
my trusty monkey on both partitions would be great. :D

Sorry for being a pain in the back ... but are there any news on this? Timelines, roadmap ... or bad news that's not possible?

I can confirm that I have MM4 running under Wineskin on a Mac. This is using Wine 1.6. I would imagine that wine for Linux should be capable of doing the same. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... &start=150

There is one BIG restriction though ... it only works in skinless mode. Some people find this an unacceptable compromise.
Windows 7,8 / Ubuntu 13.10 / Mavericks 10.9 / iOS 7.1 / iTunes 11.1
iTunes plugin (d_itunes & itunes4) http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =2&t=45713
Running MM under Mac OS X with Wine http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =4&t=58507

Do I understand this correctly ? MM on Linux would be great. Like many people out there MM is keeping me from changing over to Linux completely.

Whohooo!!
Just googled again to this forum to see if any linux-plans got progress.
Thats pretty awesome to read!
There is still nothing in comparable on linux - and I am searching every few months. Right now I am using Nightingale which gets really close on what I need but its really buggy (which unfortunately a lot of music-apps are on linux...)

So, cant wait! :)
Loosing this application is the only thing I (really) regret since I switched away from windows...

Hello,

any news on this?
I recently dropped my last Windows box and switched to Linux completely.
The only thing I really miss is Mediamonkey
I tried to get it going with wine but too many things won't work there.
And even the unity mode of VMware player isn't sufficient.

Please give us a native Mediamonkey Linux client.

I'd not only buy a license (though I'm already a gold user for years) - I'd also test this beast as much as possible!

Thx and bye.
Michael.

I would also gladly pay again for a Linux Client/Server. I just paid for the MMA Gold license. Twice actually. Once for my device, and once for wife's. I BELIEVE IN MM! Heck, even MM in OS X would be awesome.

Why not realizing it via Indiegogo and crowdfunding?
