Smart reminder/notepad drag 'n drop window

Post by SuperR »

Hi there,

I can't be the only one who is listening to music, while for instance stumbling upon a top-10-80's album list. I really want to play the entire Dire Straits Communique album, but the top10-ranking is luring me towards R.E.M's Murmur.

What to do? Maybe after the Dire Straits are done playing, I'll forget to put the Murmur album on?! Maybe I didn't have the Murmer album and I wanted to make a note on getting it.

I am looking for a reminder/post-it/notepad window in which I can drag and drop a song from an album in the library, and the album info is added as a single item.

A window like this but filled with Album+Artist items and located not on my phone, but in the left hand white free space of the MM window. So not something like a playlist or now-playing, but a notepad for manual inputs and drag and drop albums.

Why not add both the Now Playing so you don't forget to look at the reminder.

The Now Playing list is of more temporary nature. I am looking for an in-gui notepad or ideally a notepad with album drag and drop.

This seems like a specialized request that would be more appropriate for an addon.

Perhaps MMA's Share function could include the option to share the artist and title instead of sending the full file. That way SuperR could select and send the tracks to a third party note taking app.

If the share is invoked from the Now Playing list it could even send the text as "I'm listening to '[Title]' by [Artist]".
