Manually Creating Folders

Manually Creating Folders
How Can I manually create new folders within MM
I want to be able to create new folders and manually move files into them.
Currently, if I create the new folder from within explorer if does not show up in MM until I put some files in it, which defeats what I am trying to do.
I want to be able to just use MM and not explorer

Re: Manually Creating Folders
You'll have to use the My Computer node in MediaMonkey to do this. The Library nodes can't show empty folders as it only shows folders with Library content.

Re: Manually Creating Folders
Are you right clicking on a drive letter or parent folder within drive (in My Computer in MM)?
I test created a folder in explorer and it showed up just fine in MM.
After you create one and look in MM for it, you might have to collapse the parent or drive letter first
or View > Refresh while something is highlighted in the tree.

Re: Manually Creating Folders
Thanks Guys
Sorry if I have not put my problem clearly
I can create the folder in Explorer (Windows) and it does show up, but that's my point can you not create the folder from within MM, do you have to create it in Windows.
The Auto-organize function creates folder automatically base on tags values, but my tags are a mess and I wish to put into folders that I have created manually.

Yes, I did mention the explorer thing, but that was only the second part of what I posted.MMFrLife wrote:Are you right clicking on a drive letter or parent folder within drive (in My Computer in MM)?

Can I get some sort of direct confirmation that you've already tried what I asked in the first sentence?
....and if so, some details about what you are doing within MM in attempt to create the folders as Lowlander asked.

Re: Manually Creating Folders
Right click on a node (drive or folder) in the My Computer node and select New Folder.

Re: Manually Creating Folders
Not sure what things should say in French, but it looks like you are in the "Library" location node.
"Within MM", under My Computer (Poste de travail?), right click menu should say something like Nouveau dossier????
