Sync always selects parent playlist

Post by martialartsguy »

I have stacked playlists like the following:
  1. 4 Star Music
    • 4 Star Music Classical
    • 4 Star Music Rock
If I select 4 Star Music Rock, the program now automatically syncs the parent list 4 Star Music, even if it's not selected. This happens with Wifi and standard sync. I have tried to delete MM Android and reinstall using the instruction here (http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... an-install) but it doesn't fix the issue.

Running the latest MM for Android Pro and MM 4.1.14.1813

EDIT: This seems to occur after the installation of Nougat (Galaxy S7 Edge).

Yes, this is by design. Otherwise Playlists in MMW could loose files on sync.

This has never happened to me before.

So even if I don't want to select the parent, and only the child, then the songs in the parent playlist are synced?

Yes, this was changed as any changes to the Parent Playlist in MMA are synced back to MMW (if the option is enabled) and thus if the MMA Playlist is empty it would override the MMW Playlist if it was changed in MMA loosing all files associated with it in MMW.

If you want hierarchy in MMA you'll need to use empty Playlists for folder structure in MMW. If you don't want hierarchy you'll need to played Playlists to be synced in the root Playlists node in MMW.
