The link for the download is dead for me. Is there any way I can get an updated link?

Here is a link to it.
I don't use it myself. I gave up on it a long time ago.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks for the link. I dont know why you gave up on this addon a long time ago though. It has always seemed to work well for me.

Monkeyflow_Cache folder random delete

Post by MM_Michel »

Hello

postet in the german forum already - but it seems that nobody can help to solve the prob:

vers. MM 3 ----old, i know, but still works WITHOUT any probs :-)

in the folder C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\monkeyflow_cache are all the Images from the Monkeyflow Addon.
From time to time the images in this folder (and ONLY in this Folder) within the temp directory will be deleted....!!

I do not have any settings within win10 or MM to do this. I have also tried to change the path of this folder.....same procedure...images will be deleted.

Who can help to solve this prob, because with a big database it needs tooooo much time to load all the images again in monkeyflow - I save the complete Monkeyflow_cache folder....but thats not the deal.

Michel

As you acknowledge you're using a really old version of MediaMonkey.

Check what actions of MediaMonkey cause the files to be deleted or do the files disappear without MediaMonkey running? It could be some system cleaner. Generally MediaMonkey doesn't clean up a lot of its temp.

- I dont have any (known) settings in Win10 to delete the temp-folder
- i´m using CCleaner from time to time, but I dont have any "automatic cleaner settings" (e.g. clean every day or week...) - and I excluded the Mediamonkey folders
- I have Avast antivirus - but there are also no settings to delete temp-folders

I dont check every time before I start Monkey, IF the c/user/appdata/local/temp - folder is deletet or not.
It happens complete randomly - there is no rule like "every 1st of month" or "every week".
.....I start MM....and the Images in this folder disappears.....without an known/plausible reason.

mysterious.....?

Is there any way to make this work with Media Monkey 5?

Has anyone been able to get this to work with Media Monkey 5? It states that you need 3.2 or higher but doesn't seem to work with version 5 at all.

Hi,
Plugin needs to be rewritten for MM5, But I wonder why You need it, as MM5 UI is more responsive and offer much more than Simple Flow?

If I am wrong, what exactly you are missing in MM5?

I like the way Monkey Flow looks. It's the only reason I've been using Media Monkey over Music Bee or other similar apps. MM5 looks good but it also looks just like every other music app.

I already have all my music tagged and organized. Not really sure what else MM5 offers over MM4 in terms of functionality. The interface looks nicer, although I find it a bit more cumbersome to use and yes, it's more responsive but I just need something that looks good on my music dedicated laptop in the living room and MM5 does not offer the Eye Candy that Monkey Flow offers.

I know SongBird and Foobar have similar cover flow addons but they are are a pain to install and configure.

Guess I'll go back to using MM4 with Monkey Flow for now.

Hi,
Have you tried MM5 Playing Mode with artist bio. I Enjoy playing my favorite playlists and just watching images pass by.

Well, add me to those that MonkeyFlow just stopped working. I've been
using MediaMonkey for YEARS, and in addition to the many things I like
about it, MonkeyFlow for me made it the best music program out there.
I'm using MM 3.x and MF, until this morning, always loaded up perfectly.
Now when I Open MM, MF will not open, at all. On both my main PC and my laptop.
I've customized MM over the years and built my own skin. I prefer to
keep using 3.x and not upgrade to 4.x.
The only thing that I can think of is that a recent Windows 10 auto update changed
.vbs settings. But that's just a guess. Any ideas?

Oddly, I just switched the older MonkeyFlow .exe (1.3?) into the scripts auto
folder, and MonkeyFlow reappeared. I don't know how that could be, but if it
works, so be it. I'll see if it holds up....
