Hi!
Is there a add-on that let's me right click in a file and choose play in external player?
I love everything about media monke except for playing videos.

Make sure that for that File Type you set a different Software as default Application in Windows. You can search online on how to best do that for your version of Windows (you may be able to do this through Properties for the file in File Explorer).

the default player for video files are mpc-hc. when I double click a video file that software loads the file. but when I play a video file in mediamonkey it loads it in a browser window

Can you capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... p?f=2&t=69

Hi,
A script that my plugin https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... f=2&t=2432 I made almost 14 years can be easily changed to use any other third party application to play selected file.
I made similar change for a plugin http://www.happymonkeying.com/plugin.php?q=300107 3 years ago to open selected file in Spek, but can be made to open file in any other app (tested it with Pot Player, AIMP) that can be set to force use of single app instance.
