To be honest, using 5.0.0.2325 at this stage is a mess - I've got different issues:
- mostly it already freezes while starting (and most of the times I can only stop it using task manager)
- half of the time it crashes looking for new files
- right now it crahed while optimizing the database (after the crash, for now it wasn't cleared from the removed database entries)
I send the debug log every time - so I think I'm sending 5-10 debug logs every day.
What else can I do to support You?
I have two machines, a desktop pc and a gaming pc, both with 16 MB RAM (W10, last updates) so I'm quite sure it's not running out of memory. I have installed MMW5 on both machines and I am experiencing nearly the same issues...

Re: Different bugs in MMW5
Hi,
yes, unfortunatelly there is known issue after Eureka log update (in build 2325) that it catches also handled exceptions and results in "Stack overflow" while catching such a handled exceptions (that shouldn't be caught at all) -- your today's logs 2338EEBD, 51A3812D. We are looking into the fix...
Can you confirm that these issues do not happen when using regular build of 2235 (i.e. not the one with Debug appendix) : https://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/MediaM ... 0.2325.exe
?

AH, okay, didn't try till now (for I thought, debug and "no-debug" are the same except of log sending), so I'll give it a try and tell You tomorrow!

Unfortunately I can NOT confess :
First try after installing the "no deburg" 2325 ended with an stack overflow just while starting:
Application Error
Application throw an exception Stack ovefflow•
Error: Stack Overflow
at eval
at eval
at line 281!!
Source Code:
277.
279
refreshMoveabIeRegion: function O {
var this = this;
_this.requestIdIe(O
Window setMoveab getMoveabIeAreaO),
'WindowMoveArea');
282. },
284. {
285.
286. // Properties
Callstack: Script: file:/h'mminit.js ; Func window.myAIert ;
Row: 284; COI: 17
Script: file:/h'mminit.js ; Func window.aIertException; Row:
294; COI: 9
Script: ; Func window.onerror ; Row: 264;
COI: 13
Would you like to restart MediaMonkey in Safe mode?

Hi,
try install clean MM5 Portable into separate folder like c:\MM5Temp as maybe the issue is with MM5 settings files and clean vanilla install will show that.

Re: Different bugs in MMW5
Yes,
that's what I did after I experienced the problems, for this was the workaround at the last beat 2316 as well):
- I deleted the "old" portable installation completely
- I installed 2325 ("without debug") as a portable installation
- when I was asked to migrate from MM4 db/ini I chose "No"
- I started MMW5 portable and ran a library scan ...
... and received EXACTLY the same error message as described above-
After chosing "proceed" there appeared another error message:
Application Error
Application thrcn,v an exception Uncaught Error: Stack
Overflow
Script:
Line 281:
_this.requestIdIe(0 =
windm,v. getMoveabIeAreaO),
Callstack:
: eval(281)
: eval(352)

So till now neither debug nor no_debug neither standard nor portable version seem to work...
(As mostly/always I tested on both of my machines - same behaviour, same errors)

Thanks, tracking this issue as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17677
Are you saying that this problem is new to 2325 and does not happen in 2316 ?
EDIT: Petr just fixed the problem is going to make a new build for you to test

Re: Different bugs in MMW5 [#17677]
Hi,
Can you please confirm if this is fixed in latest versions?
EDIT by Rusty: it was fixed in build 2326 -- we just want to confirm whether the fix works for you.
