Album art resizing after startup
I have a problem with album art in the layout. I like large album art and set it in a square proportional fitting. It is in the Left panel, with the now playing panel beneath it.
The problem is that when I close MM and re-open it, the album art panel has shrunk and is now oblong with black bars on the left and right. It does this every time I open MM.
I've only just come back to MM (for the Chromecast option), but I had this problem way back in the beta testing for MM5. This is driving me nuts. Am I missing something obvious? Is there a "Lock Layout" option anywhere?

Which Build (Help > About) are you using and is it shrinking horizontally or vertically after restart. I assume you're referring to the Preview window.

Hi Lowlander.
Yes. I'm referring to the Preview window. MM 5.0.2.2531. I've included before and after images. Problem also arises when moving MM between screens (Although not so much of a problem)

Re: Album art resizing after startup
I'm unable to reproduce on the latest 5.0.3 beta. Please capture the resizing and then MediaMonkey restart resulting in the old size in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

Re: Album art resizing after startup
Hi and thanks.
Attached Log file. The process I followed was:
1) Ran Debug View
2) Ran Mediamonkey Debug version
3) Resized Album Preview Window to correct aspect (square) ratio
4) Closed MM then re-opened
5) As expected, window had shrunk again
6) Submitted ticket 3549

Re: Album art resizing after startup
Think I may have some idea what's going on here. With "Now Playing" or "Media Tree" panels beneath "Preview" the album art resizes on re-start. If I put the "Lyrics" panel beneath "Preview", it doesn't happen. So, it seems to have more to do with what's beneath it rather than itself.
Re: Album art resizing after startup
I tested with Playing beneath, which couldn't reproduce the problem.

Re: Album art resizing after startup
It does seem to depend on the size of the Preview Window. The bigger it is, the more likely it is to happen.I tested with Playing beneath, which couldn't reproduce the problem.

Re: Album art resizing after startup
This is a short clip of it happening when resizing the MM window, but same thing happens after closing and re-launching.

Re: Album art resizing after startup
Was this ever resolved? I notice that the Preview pane resizes every time MM5 is restarted... any way to get it to remember the size you make it?

Re: Album art resizing after startup
I'm using MM 5.0.4.2657 Alpha and have no problems with jpegs of different sizes.
These are always displayed in the same size: (All STORED IN TAG Artwork)
600x597; 2446x2461, 600x598, 214x218, 2048x2048

Re: Album art resizing after startup
It seems to be fixed now. It did show up in one of the patches a while back.
Re: Album art resizing after startup
I've installed 5.0.4.2657 and it is definitely not fixed.
The preview artwork resizes back to the same smaller format every time I exit MM5 and re-open.

Re: Album art resizing after startup
Last possibility: your MM.DB could be corrupted.
Workaround MENU > File > Manage Database
1. Make a backup first
then see photo: ONLY REBUILD DATABASE an then OK
MM5 restart
