Buffering with latest beta release

Post by Pista »

Been using MM many years and have never experienced buffering. I'm casting to my Pioneer A/V receiver. There is a big buffering delay when I 1st start to cast but with each next song it just buffers for a few seconds. As it always has, my TV screen displays the album art, title, status bar etc. but somewhere along the line while playing the TV screen displays the receiver screen that offers what server or library to select from. I let it be and the music continues and with the next song the whole thing repeats.

Please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

Is this with Chromecast or DLNA (if receiver supports both try the other and see if performance improves)?

This will help a developer analyze why this happens in your setup.

The buffering issue seems to have stopped for now with the exception of when I start casting the 1st song to the receiver. Then it's only for 2-3 seconds. Today within the 1st 30 minutes of playing from a playlist, 2 times I got the receiver screen between songs that offers what media server to select. The music continues without interaction and within a couple of minutes the display returns to the Album art etc... It's to random to know when to start the DebugView.

You can leave DebugView running and then save when it actually happens. That will leave the relevant part at the end of the log, but also provides the context with what happened prior.
