I tested with <Auto Number:4> on build 2418 and it created the correct numbers in the filenames.
Destination: D:\Music\<Album Artist>\<Album Artist> - <Album>\<Auto Number>- <Title>

This was the default setting imported from MM4.

Where did "<Auto Number:4>" come from?

Yes, as mentioned in yesterday's post.

Also, even after making it <Auto Number:3> I have the same issue --

I'm unable to reproduce, your Mask works fine on build 2418.

Please capture the Rip process in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 30&t=86643 Hopefully it will show why it doesn't work in your environment.

This issue is also occurring in 5.0.3.2600 using the Auto-Organize Files option -- screenshot example at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KyWDjE ... sp=sharing

Again, if I remove and re-add any letter in the <Auto Number> label, it renumbers correctly. This is the same behavior that was seen when renumbering a ripped CD.

Is the issue that the existing Mask with <Auto Number> fails? ie. this is not a problem if you enter a new Mask with <Auto Number>?

Correct. Even simply removing a letter from "Auto Number" and replacing it (as the example I submitted in ticket 1951 demonstrates) fixes the numbering.

Is there a plan to fix this?

Did you supply a debug log to Support?

Yes, ticket 3610.

As a note, when I tried to use Help > Debug > Send Debug log, I got an application crash (error screenshot here -- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1racgam ... sp=sharing )
