I am about to re-rip a bunch of old commercial cd's.
I see the cd's in the drive with the proper artist/album title, etc.
But when I right click and select Rip CD - it shows the artist/title from a previously ripped personal (non commercial) cd.
??
Thanks in advance.
Pretty sure if I can get past this one I'm off and running. Resolved unrecognized iPhone and incompatible firmware issues - thanks all!

Re: Ripping CD's help
Which Build (Help > About) are you using?
Deleting the CDPlayer.ini from %APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\ (paste this in the File Explorer address bar) and this should solve the problem.

In that case try a search for CDPlayer.ini, a different copy may be causing the problem.

Re: Ripping CD's help
Search of C: drive, including subfolders & system files only finds the one installed today.
Appreciate your help!
Under Rip CD, Configure, what is the configure screen supposed to look like to just read the meta data from the cd?

Hi, it is hard to see where you meanRedGuitars wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 7:20 pm Under Rip CD, Configure, what is the configure screen supposed to look like to just read the meta data from the cd?
You mean here? ... The "lookup Audio CD metadata" option doesn't appear to working correctly. The three dots in the menu item's name indicate that a panel should open, but I don't see one (either?). It seems to retrieve some info from the Internet, but it doesn't open anything.
Or do you mean here? ... That "configuration" button opens the panel shown in my illustration. It has nothing to do with metadata. It is just a wizard to help you build the mask for the destination location for your rips.
Maybe that the only thing wrong with the top option that I mentioned, is that the option name should not have the the three dots.
I can see metadata for the CD after I have run that option. .. ie. double click on the CD drive .. that opens this panel, where you can see the metadata.
I can't advise you the best workflow for MM5 ripping. I use an external ripper.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Re: Ripping CD's help
Under Devices, Rip audio CD, Convert Files, Configure,
Destination = C:\My Music\<Artist>\<Album>\<Title>
Destination = C:\My Music\<Artist>\<Album>\<Title>
