Hi,
I'm running MM4, and I'm getting audio popping and cracking as if it was, well, too loud. I'm playing the same files, MP3s, on other audio players (old Winamp install, Foobar, etc) and I have no issues - it's only Media Monkey.
Dropping the volume via replaygain (level track volume) seems to help but I have to drop it much, much lower than I do on other media players, which is really annoying considering I use the same music library for my phone and my car.
I've tried changing the output to waveout rather than directsound, no change. Dropping the volume inside Media Monkey doesn't stop the clicking and popping (although it does change the volume).
What's going on here and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Re: Audio peaking/breaking up
Please try playing the same files with Play > Level playback volume disabled. Does the problem persist?
