How do I get MM4 to properly respect the Windows display text size?

I have Windows display text size raised, and MM4 toolbar text and tooltips follow, but menu, media tree and dialog box text still appears tiny.

Bizarre that menu commands are not enlarged but their tooltips are.

MediaMonkey 5 will do this, in MediaMonkey 4 you can adjust the font size in MediaMonkey itself under Tools > Options > Skins.

Thanks, but here (Windows 10) that (build 1919) is equally broken:



That's Font size 150%. Notice the tree is unaffected. Likewise Font size 22px is messed-up.

Has anyone managed to get this to work properly?

MediaMonkey 4 is no longer been developed. This works in MediaMonkey 5. I don't remember if this is a known issue in MediaMonkey 4 (I vaguely remember problems with this).

Are you using skinned or non skinned version of MM4?

Also what setting you have for MM Shortcut in compatibility TAB -> Change DPI settings and have you tried to temper with.

Also do skinned version behave same (I assume based on pic you are using Non-Skinned version?

Both. Makes no difference. Why would you think otherwise?

Default settings. Unchanged since install.

And anyway, I'm not launching from any shortcut.

So, on yours, that font size increase to 20px has worked on tabs, tree, and tracklists, and failed on menu bar and Selected content.

Thanks also for the Options box - revealing you're on the non-default Vitreous skin. Here that skin fails. I'll report that separately - done https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... p?t=103124

Hi,
Windows natively Controls Menu So you need to Increase Windows Font size to 125-150% to see it larger and as for Preview you need to Right click -> Choose fields -> Text Size.

As I said in the root post, that change has no effect on menu bar text size here - Windows 10 Home 64-but, default portable install, MediaMonkey.exe.

200% can though shift down the text and clip the bottom off.

Perhaps success is conditional on some other setting you have.

Possibly, but that is non essential functional issue, that makes MM crashing and unusable.

Only exceptions that can be considered are those that do not need core MM changes and that can be distributed separately as workaround eg. like iPhone plugin that support newer versions of iOS which we can try to support till core sync is not changed and main MM core needs to be recreated.

It is 99.99%, that there will never be new MM4 build. Especially MM4 is not even tested and will not be tested on Win 11+

Do not get things out of sentence, MM4 got to Feature/Bug Fix EOL before Win 11 got out so anything after can't be guarantied to work at all.
