Missing Artist Name at the bottom

Post by bj7575 »

Hi All,
When I first started using MM I neglected to add the artist instead it defaulted to:

Track name
Artist
Album name
Album name
It seems to be finding the tracks when you do search I'm reluctant to use the feature where it automatically corrects as I'm feared it will get it all wrong.
If I do manually fix them all does that permanently correct the data if I ever had to rescan does that mean it's all lost or is that where we use the data files that MM creates?

thanks everyone

I'm not sure what you're asking, there is not enough details to go on. At the bottom would be the Player, but it doesn't seem you're asking about track info displayed in the Player. Screenshots can help explain.

Hi I couldnt get the screen shot to load. When I ripped the cds on the various albums so instead of having the:
Track name
Artist
Album
Artist

I had track name
artist
Album
Album

I went and manually corrected them. But does that mean its not going to revert back?

If you ever have to rescan the data or go back to re ad them later is that data going to be the same as i manually chaged it?

By default manually changed tags are saved to the files themselves.
