Auto-tag tracks out of order [#19936]
After ripping a CD, I go to the folder and use Auto-Tag to pull down the art, etc. However, the track order seems to be sorted by some unknown configuration. There's no way to click the column heading to get it to re-order by Track Number. How can I fix this?

Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
Is the Album Artist the same value for all files?

Hi,
Based on your picture Auto-Tag is sorted by title not by track#
Re embed image: See my signature how to do it.

Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
I can see that it's sorted by title. My question was, how do I sort it by Track #?
Clicking on the Column header does nothing.

Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
It's actually sorted in the same order as the file selection. So if the file selection is sorted on Album (or Track#) you'd get the correct initial sort.

Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
Where is that configured?
Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
I have gone through Options multiple times looking for this setting. I have looked under Library > Metadata Lookup > Auto-Tagging / Metadata > Audio. Album Summary is at the top and can't be changed or removed. Track is #2.
This shouldn't be this hard to find or configure.

Sorting is done on column headers: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... ng_Sorting

Except apparently that is not working....

Using 5.1 LATEST alpha or beta build on Windows 10, HP laptop, managing 13k tracks
Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
In the Filelisting? As mentioned, this is done in the Filelisting not Auto-Tag.

Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
Which Filelisting? Under Windows Explorer? Under MediaMonkey? If the latter, which section? If you mean under Entire Library > Location, sorting by Track is already selected.
Something this basic shouldn't be this hard to do. I've been trying to get a column sort to work for over a week. A column sort!
Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
OK, I can see where the misunderstanding is. Ya gotta read carefully and look at the pictures.
Within the autotag window, there is not any sorting available. I am not sure why, but possibly because this is just a temporary view to show which fields will be updated. It seems (in the example album I tested) tracks are displayed in title order regardless of how they were being viewed when Autotag was initiated.
So now the question is - do we need to be able to sort tracks when in the Autotag window????
Sorting by clicking on column headers works fine in the Folder view, before starting or after completing autotag.

Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
The thing I'm confused about is, the Auto-Tag window used to be sorted by Track, but now it's not, and I can't find how to get it to go back to that state.
Re: Auto-tag tracks out of order
What is the solution?
