MM5 won't show new S22+ under devices

I switched from an S10 to an S22+. Samsung Switch put all my music from the SD into \music so I moved it to\MediaMonkey\Files using My Files. MMA doesn't recognize the music.

So I started a sync which takes forever with 3,793 songs.

Now I can't MM5 to display my S22+ under Devices and Services.

How do I get MM5 to see it?

Perhaps it is because MMA Pro did not migrate with Samsung Switch only the freebie version migrated? I updated before I started wrestling with all of this.

The second sync i mentioned yesterday failed with MM5. MMA did not recognize the files I moves to \MediaMonkey\files and copied duplicates, which maxed out my memory and failed.

BTW, the phone still does not show up in MM5 even though I have connected the phone by USB and initiated syncs.

Hacking ahead, I deleted the entire contents of \MediaMonkey\files and started another sync. This time the sync completed, but but of the 3,793 songs only about 200 are available to play inside 3 playlists. The other 20+ playlists are all greyed out and almost list themselves as "empty." There are also some greyed out playlists that are duplicates.

How do I straighten this out so I can use MM on my new phone?

I may have to pose the question in the MMA forum about why can't MMA find files that were in MMA on the old phone when those are transferred to the proper folder in the new phone. Why does it create duplicate copies of these files when I sync?

When you use Show all under Devices it still isn't listed? Could it identify itself as the old phone? Also which Build (Help > About) of MMW?

MM5.0.4.2693 identified the phone as Samsung S10 - Internal storage, the old phone. As soon as I looked I recognized the checked playlists I entered on the phone. So I'll rename it correctly.

Initiating a sync in MM5 to this phone via USB, it tells me I don't have enough memory. As the phone still does not show any of the music, I deleted all files in \mediamonkey\files and \music. Then I emptied the trash to make room.

Initiating the sync again in MM5, it shows "Syncing Samsung S10 - Internal storage: (Copying xxx/278713..." That number is the size of my entire library. No way the phone can hold that.

So I'll let the sync run for the 30+ minutes the selected folders should take and see if it crashes.

Arrrgh! MMW shows it completed the sync. MMA says it completed the sync. But MMA has everything under playlists grayed out and every playlist says they are empty. No songs to play.

After the sync, when I shutdown MMA and restarted it says "Scanning files into the library: Completed successfully."

If I go into settings and execute "Check for new/changed media", it returns the same message.

If I go to the Music tab and into "Ratings" it shows all the tunes under every rating, but all but three of the star selections have everything grayed out without artwork. Strangely, I can play every grayed out song that I tried.

What's really weird is "4 stars" and "4 stars or more" have 90% of the songs not grayed out and with artwork.

And even weirder, "3.5 stars or more" has most songs looking normally but "3.5 stars" is all grayed out.

So I dug around and my music is all in the /Music folder. The /MediaMonkey/files folder has only 5 files one of which is the mmstore.db.

How do I get this straightened out? I've got hours into this and am really frustrated. And I have yet to start doing my wife's new phone.
