Currently the root directory is: "\Android\data\com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey\files"
How can I change this to a custom location?
Thank you

Re: Custom root directory
Not all versions of Android allow this, but it's set in File Locations in the Device profile if you can change it.

Here is the Root directory path I would need to change but and don't see how? (see image above)
The reason being, I would need my m3u playlists to be stored in a specific folder on my Samsung S23

Re: Custom root directory
I have the same issue on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Root directory cannot be changed. Trying to sync a Playlist (that I use to copy relevant music to my phone) does not reliably work. Any pointers what to try would be appreciated!

Hi,
That often means MMA Can't access normal Path eg. Internal\Music , ...
If you use MMA Folders browser can you browse to Internal Storage -> Music folder?

Re: Custom root directory
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I can browse that folder. My sync is now working (not sure what, if anything, I changed).
I have another, playlist-related question though: Is there a way to sync only new songs? For example, when I sync my Samsung Galaxy Watch with my phone (Pixel, using Samsung Music) via a playlist, it only copies those songs that are not already on the watch. Maybe it's because Samsung has developed an ecosystem that can easily tag files but such an option would be great when a playlist contains tens of GB of music. Thanks!

Re: Custom root directory
MediaMonkey already does that. Sync only syncs changes.
