Hello!
I've recently used the auto-tag feature and renamed most of my local files for consistency, not sure if this is relevant, but I thought I'd mention.
I've switched phones (Samsung S24 Ultra) and now I'm trying to sync my MM Windows with my MM Android. However, none of the m4a files in my PC library are being synced, it's roughly half my library. It's a mix of mp3's and m4a's. I'm not sure what I should do here, it used to work fine with my previous phone (OnePlus 7 Pro).
I get a message by the end of the sync saying "Finished with errors" and it gives me the count of files that were not synced.
Any advise? Thank you

Re: Sync failing for m4a files
Check Auto-Conversion/Support Formats settings. M4a may not be supported, thus must be converted, which may require codecs..

Re: Sync failing for m4a files
I realized now it doesn't seem to be an m4a issue. There are some m4a files in my device library. I haven't been able to understand exactly what's causing 1800 files to not sync. I tried manually adding a rule for m4a files to be converted to mp3 but it did not seem to help.
Re: Sync failing for m4a files
Do these files play in MediaMonkey (ie. they're not shown under Dead Links or Disconnected)?

Re: Sync failing for m4a files
Do you mean in MediaMonkey for Windows? Yeah they play fine and they're listed in the library, nothing wrong there. It's just when syncing that something goes wrong.

Hi,
I would suggest tiy yo create full debug log on MMw for windows using these steps https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 30&t=86643 and attach zipped log to support ticket, that will tell us what is going on at least one of the files failing.

Re: Sync failing for m4a files
Ok, thank you, I will try to generate the logs. Though in MMW I get no errors, I only receive the error in the MMA once the Sync is completed.
Re: Sync failing for m4a files
DebugView captures activity, so you don't need errors for it to be useful.

Re: Sync failing for m4a files
Ok it seems like a lot of work to generate these logs with debug versions and external software.
I did some more digging and I realized that, despite the sync error message in the end, the files are actually there. I probably should've checked this first, but I trusted the message. I will try to get a screenshot of the error next time I need to sync MMW and MMA, I have a feeling it will happen every time. It seems that every time I hit sync it will take quite a while as well because of those 1800 files that apparently MM keeps trying to sync but fails.
