MM for android no longer works

Hi.

As of last week I cannot get the android app to cast to my stereo.

When choosing and casting a song using UPnP, it will only play or pause the current song in the PC queue, not the one selected from the android phone, so is now useless as a remote. Very annoying.

Is there an alternative remote app? is this a known issue?

Hi Peke.

The android phone Im using as a remote (Media Monkey for Android, not MM remote) no longer plays the song I choose.
I can sewlect a song on the droid, chose "play" or "pause", but it will only play or pause the song curently on the PC library, not the one chosen on the phone. Im using UPnP with all files on local PC.

I only need the android to funtion as a remote control.

This is where the confusion stems from. MMA is not capable of remote control. You can stream from an DLNA Server, you can stream to a DLNA client, and you can do both at the same time. However you can't control MMW from MMA. So, we're not sure what you were doing before.

OK, well thank for correcting the language I was using. I was using the term "remote" colloquially, as any normal person would.

Does anyone know what I should do to fix this issue?

Is MM Remote for android worth the small cost? does the free version work OK?
