Version 4 GOLD v4.1.31.1919
I'm having great problems in that after ripping a CD to a subfolder within my my main music folder when I add/scan them to put them in to my database 0 files are imported as they did not meet criteria. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated but please not too technical.
2. I'm not sure if I can have a second bite of the cherry but I have another problem which is connected in a way.
This is with tracks which are listed in library but when clicked they won't play and go greyed out. When I check the file via explorer the track is still there in the folder but if I try to add it via add/scan it won't do it as doesn't meet criteria. How can I replace file in library. This problem seems does to be getting worse. Am I doing something wrong?
Would upgrading to version5 help
Add/Scan files

Re: Add/Scan files
1. The files are probably already in the Library, so no new files would be imported on manual scanning.
2. Is the Path shown in MediaMonkey exactly the same as that in File Explorer. It sounds like this may not be the case: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... s-to-play/

Re: Add/Scan files
With regard to being unable to add files from ripped CD, I followed your suggestion and checked the library and 1 of the CDs was in the library. However, I had ripped a double CD and only of the CDs were in the Library. So I decided to re-rip the 2nd CD and those tracks appeared in the library in the same folder as CD1. So thank you.
2. You were spot-on regarding the path of the files being wrong and so thank you again.
I do appreciate your help.
