Exporting Playlists in folders and subfolders [#19258]

Post by anniedmn »

Hey there,
I haven't yet used mediamonkey 5 since in v5 I don't seem to have the option to export my playlists exactly as I was able to do it in mediamonkey 4 with the help of add ons of course that haven't updated to v5.

There is of course a way to export multiple playlists but my problem is.. you see I occasionally work as a non professional DJ and I have a LOT of playlists that I have carefully arranged so it will be easier for me to choose the next song. Exporting those playlists in MM5 it creates a long name of the playlist based on nodes and sub nodes and this is a problem because the playlist ends up with a huge name and it is difficult to find it later on among other playlists.

Is there a way to export those playlists in folders and subfolders? as they appear in MM. For example with the help of this addon http://solair.eunet.rs/~zvezdand/Export ... desNew.htm I was able to export every playlist in folders based on what node they where under but only in MM4..

I apologize if I am missing something or if I don't understand something.. also I hope I was clear enough because my english isn't so good..

thank you

Hi,
If I got you correctly you would like to have something like this:

Code: Select all

c:\Playlists\
- Playlist 1.m3u
- Playlist 2.m3u
- Playlist 3.m3u
-\Sub Playlists\
-- Playlist 1.m3u
-- Playlist 2.m3u
-- Playlist 2.m3u
Am I correct?

It would be great if you can post screenshot of your playlist structure so that we can see what you expect? (See my signature how to do that)
Best regards,

Hi,
OK, I added this as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19258 and for cloud syncing it is already described at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16540, but it is scheduled for MM 5.1.

Hi,
Unfortunately, rescheduled for 5.2 as they proven not to be easy as we thought.

Any update on this? I too am in need of playlist naming that does not follow nodes.
