Where can I find really good music online?

Where can I find really good music online?
So far, I've had a hard time finding really good music on portals like Soundcloud or Spotify without any DJ experience.
Only when I search for specific artists, I find them there (and also on Youtube).
Who can give me tips?
By good music I mean any music that is tangibly an expression of the soul. So no computer-generated screaming or yowling.
I just love good music, and it almost doesn't matter what genre.
It can be instrumental, danceable, not standard disco, but uplifting and inspiring.
In the field of classical music I have already found many pearls.
But less in contemporary popular music.
I am happy about all tips, also about single artists or groups that deserve to be heard.
Criteria: Uplifting, lightful, strong, patriotic, heartful.
Even uplifting trance music or heavy metal like metallica, but those are not my dominate genres.
Some of my prefered genres are Alternative, Balkan music (folk), Chillout, Italian and Russian songs, Caféhouse music, dance-music, piano, but also good rock, pop and other.
Thank you for even little hints where to find the brilliants and emeralds!
Now - after organizing my library with MMW - I can't wait to fill it up. (Yesterday I deleted all titles with only 2 ** or less. That shrinked the library to about 50%)

Thanks for feedback, good to know.
For those you like, you might want to consider adding a "Bookmark" to the "Web" node in MMW5 (or the equivalent in MMW4).

I now see 7digitial tends to up convert low quality songs to flac. Have you had any issues?IanRTaylorUK wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 11:11 am An old list of potential sources:

And would you happen to know of any sites that carry high quality Metal or Hip-hop type genres? Tried band-camp and HD Tracks, not a good selection. 7Digital has a decent amount but after reading reviews I'm worried I'm not getting the quality I'm looking for. (looking to purchase and download, not stream)

Re: Where can I find really good music online?
Take a look at MP3VA for starters.
On the right of the main screen you have Genres. Select Pop/Rock(?) and then it opens up to show Heavy Metal that in turns opens up to give:
Alternative Metal
Black Metal e.g. https://www.mp3va.com/browse/pop-rock-1 ... -metal-883
British Metal
Death Metal
Doom Metal
Goth Metal
Grindcore
Guitar Virtuoso
Hair Metal
Industrial Metal
Neo-Classical Metal
New Wave of British Heavy Metal
Nu Metal
Pop-Metal
Power Metal
Progressive Metal
Punk Metal
Rap-Metal
Scandinavian Metal
Sludge Metal
Speed/Thrash Metal
Stoner Metal
Symphonic Black Metal
In my experience most MP3 are 320 kBps. Hope this is enough Metal for you!

Sound Cloud was the only resource I used to find music, but now I have a huge library of websites, thanks. I didn't even imagine that there are so many places to find music online.

Re: Where can I find really good music online?
Hope this is not too far off topic (newbee here and thanks for the great app) was just wondering, since the OP had mentioned just musical notes songs with no screaming or yelling, have you ever heard of a band called YELLO ? One of their very first albums on the cover pic it is a pair of big lips, there are a lot of great tracks on this album. Be forewarned that it's sub heavy so if you have a powered sub you might wanna turn it down, or risk stuff falling off of shelves, pics on walls crashing down, etc...LOL
Re: Where can I find really good music online?
What are some music recommendations with heavy bass but no screaming or yelling?

Re: Where can I find really good music online?
Like I posted above, check out the band called yello. Their very first album has a lot of what you're looking for. But I've never had the chance to listen to any of their stuff after their first album. The first album has a big pair of red lips on the cover. You remember that song they used to play on commercials on TV.... The "oh yeah" one with a lot of heavy drum solos? Yello is the band that made that song. And it is yello, there isn't any "w" on the end of the name. Check out a track on their first album called "give me your gold" and in fact I like every track on that album. Some people think it's latin music with all the drumming and bass in it, but the fact is it's just great music. There's more musical notes than singing on all of the tracks. I wished I could find some music that's comparable to their first album, but I don't have the funds to be buying a lot of new music. Check it out and let me know what you think of it.
