Hi - I've got a strange issue where the settings of my ASIO output get reset following a reboot. My standard settings are as follows:
but revert to the following after a reboot:
I'm using MM 5.1.0.2823. Any ideas?

Re: Asio output setting change following a reboot
Hi,
Plugin is very old, I would not be surprised to have more issues.
Try to start MM as Administrator, it is possible that plugin do not have enough rights to save settings file.
I wonder, have you checked WASAPI in Exclusive mode?

Re: Asio output setting change following a reboot
Hi Peke - thanks for your reply. I have tried the following:
Unfortunately using the Dante Virtual Soundcard, ASIO and WDM are the only options and MM5 doesn't see the soundcard when using the WDM option, so I have to use ASIO.
- Make sure that MM5 service is not running..
- Launch MM5 as Administrator..
- Configure ASIO.
- Close MM5.
- Launch MM5 as Administrator.
- Check ASIO config - it's reverted.

With WDM You will need to use WAVE OUT plugin
At least what I see from https://dev.audinate.com/GA/dvs/usergui ... indows.htm
Do not get me wrong but DVS do not do great job for the money you pay for it especially from what I read at https://www.jochenschulz.me/en/blog/dan ... advantages
EDIT: I used https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm in the past and many other free solutions like recording/rebroadcasting with OBS, ...

Re: Asio output setting change following a reboot
Hi Peke - many thanks again for your reply. I have read the Jochen Schultz article and from what I see he is a big fan of DVS (with a few minor caveats). To me, 30 USD for a 64 channel virtual soundcard that supports ASIO and WDM is a bargain and I am a big fan of Dante in general and have based my home studio around it as a technology (using Pro Tools and Lynx converters).
I got the WDM driver to show up on my MM5 machine under WDM and it can now be seen from MM5 and doesn't lose its settings so all is good. My Dante system runs at 96KHz/24-bit so I had to change the sound settings to reflect this, but this was the only configuration that was necessary.
Many thanks again for looking at this

Re: Asio output setting change following a reboot
I had another re-visit of this and I changed the settings in %appdata%\MediaMonkey5\Plugins\plugin.ini directly, then saved the file. It "remembers" the settings fine now.
