Hi all, when I open the properties of a podcast episode, the date field contains the date when the episode was released. But when I open the tag information in another program, that information doesn't seem to be present. Where is it stored? Or how can I copy that information to another field which will be visible in other software?
TIA
Podcast "date" field, where is it stored in the tag?

Hi,
MM reads it from Podcast information. Have you tried to Edit Properties in MM and make sure date field is correct?
You can also update file tags using CTRL+S on selected track.

The date is correct for all the episodes. The problem is when I access the downloaded file in another program or app, that information is not available, and I would like it to be (for my own organisation). Is there a way to copy that information to another tag or something? That way it would be visible in other software.

Hi,
Can you open support Ticket, Supply us URL to podcast (if private it will be used only during finding a solution), steps you do in MM when you edit/manage podcasts for other apps and finally what apps do not read tag correctly.
I'll try to replicate on PC as all podcasts I have have no issues in 4-5 Media apps I have on MY PC and also 1 on my NAS.

Re: Podcast "date" field, where is it stored in the tag?
Excuse my ignorance, how do I open a support ticket?
I've since discovered through using mp3tag that the date I am looking for is indeed stored in the YEAR tag, but after the year (there are two YEAR tags). In mp3tag is shows up as (for example) 2024\\2024-10-05. How can I isolate only the full date? Because in most other music software only the first year is seen, whereas I want the full date.

Using Support at the top you can create a Support Ticket.
For MP3 (ID3 tags) you can set how date is stored by MediaMonkey: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... year-date/
