Hi! I have recently purchased a smart TV and am looking for ways to play my music from files stored on a HDD which is set up as a file server on my home network.
Can you instal MM on a smart tv? Is this installed as an app?
I am not a computer technie and will need a patient guide! TIA for any help/guidance!

Re: Installing MM on a smart tv
Can you name the exact smart tv model and manufacturer.
I am using MediaMonkey on my Retro Systems, using the latest Beta build on Windows 11. Managing ~54k files
Re: Installing MM on a smart tv
There is MediaMonkey for Windows which requires Windows 10+ and MediaMonkey for Android which is available in the Play Store for non-AndroidTV devices. If you have AndroidTV on the TV and can side-load there would be a possibility.
Otherwise you can probably stream/cast from either MMW or MMA.

Crash monkey - it’s a Cello smart tv - C40WS01F - which uses LG’s WebOSHub. I don’t have Windows installed on the TV.
Help very much appreciated.

Re: Installing MM on a smart tv
Hi,
NOTE: MediaMonkey is available on Windows, Android (Android TV with manual sideload), but it is not Available on WebOS (LG, Cello, ...), Tizen (Samsung), FireOS (Mostly Older TV Models) and there you need to find their native options and applications (in their respective TV app stores) that can play medias from PC based media servers like MM using DLNA/UPnP standard.
Unfortunately there is no MM for WebOSHub and there is no application for you to install native MM WEBOSHUB application, but from what I read at https://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/VS9 ... 098_1.html and https://www.lg.com/levant_en/support/pr ... 3629251004 it should be possible that you can listen Music from MM Server on PC.philip4946 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 5:02 am Crash monkey - it’s a Cello smart tv - C40WS01F - which uses LG’s WebOSHub.
