Can't find *NSYNC in search
Hi, I have a strange problem. When I type *nsync in the MM search bar, it doesn't find the band. Even when I type sync bye, it finds nothing. However, the band does exist in the database, as do the songs. For example, if I type bye, *NSYNC with Bye Bye Bye is listed. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
Just use "nsync" and it works for me.

No, I haven't changed anything, and the search function works fine in general. If I type NSYNC without the *, these search results appear:
When I type *NSYNC, these results appear:
However, if I then click on advanced search, all the songs by *NSYNC appear again.

Re: Can't find *NSYNC in search
that's funny because i just put Nsync on my computer and i couldn't find it in explorer and Media Monkey I think changed the * to a - and it showed up at the top of the list instead of in the "n" 's. in explorer. why does Nsync have the * in front of it anyways? I have a diff artist that has something similar in the name. what does the * mean in a name?
Re: Can't find *NSYNC in search
* in a search citeria is normally "anything" so *sync should find any names containing (any char sequence)sync
Mediamonkey search does not respect this character, so you need to choose in options whether you want to search beginning of words or within words

I used " 'N Sync" with some music by the group.
