Version 5.0.5.2695, Windows 11 pro
When I select "Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD)" in the media tree, all their albums show in the main window which I have set up columns as album art, summary, track #, Title, album artist, etc.
Under "summary" all the album titles show but there are 2 different spellings for the artist. For some (10) of the albums, manoeuvres is manouevres.
I've checked the properties of all the tracks and they are spelled correctly in both artist and album artist fields. Right clicking an album to see all of the tracks' properties they are spelled correctly also. Using windows explorer I navigate to the folder and check the properties of those particular albums and they are all correct.
When I right-click on the misspelled word in the summary column and go to properties it shows the tracks' properties and the spelling is correct for both artist and album artist.
Where does MM5 get this info from and how can I edit it?
How to edit the summary field

Re: How to edit the summary field
I've not seen this, does this persist on the latest MediaMonkey 2024 beta?
Summary takes its information from other fields. An Optimize database may help.

Re: How to edit the summary field
Check the albumartist tags.
The album summary field is built using the albumartist tag, not the artist tags.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.
Re: How to edit the summary field
Is it possible to change how the summary field is synthesized? That would be nice.....
Re: How to edit the summary field
No, you can hide it, but not change what it displays.
