MM crash

Post by userjan »

Hello,
I'm an MM user. I've been playing music normally with MM for about a year now.
I have to admit, MM is the champion when it comes to errors, crashes, and script messages.
They wouldn't be ashamed of themselves.
And then you'd think, thank goodness there's a "helpdesk."
However, they can't figure it out either, and even simple questions???
Okay, then you'll just use a different media player, but the selection is scarce.
And indeed, it's often the user's fault. So today, I'm doing a clean install of MM on the latest version of Windows 11. I import my music and click on a random menu, and MM freezes.
If MM were a car, the dealer would be bankrupt within a week.
And thankfully, I haven't thrown any money away yet, but there are plenty of buyers who deeply regret it. A friend of mine recently installed and paid for MM, and now that money is gone. Don't get me wrong, the software is not working properly, but a professional solution would be appreciated.

Hi,
I have checked helpdesk, last conversation was in march. we handle each report seriously as like you said MM would not be application which is now if that is not finding each issue seriously. In notion of transparency you can elaborate here or open new support ticket that I will personally take over and see where the problem is.

I hope that we can resolve any issues you have or at least shred some light what was the cause of them, because I think taht we all could agree that good apps in todays world are needed in order to make our life more enjoyable.
Best regards,

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey do you experience this with?

I imported a folder containing 27 music files. After importing, it imported only one music file. When I play the music files with various other players, there's no problem at all.

You say I checked when we last had contact. Ever heard of getting discouraged?

It sounds like you're describing files not showing in the MediaMonkey Library after scanning? If so, please see: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... y-library/

Try the Entire Library > Location node and browse to the folder(s) containing the 27 files. Do they still fail to show?

Also DL link to all 27 Files in support ticket or if you want send me directly here in Private Message and I'll see how they behave on my PC.

What apps tried to use to play them and confirmed they play?

I followed your advice, but no results. I imported 27 items and only 1 item is displayed.
And I have installed the latest codecs and also from other providers Klite, MM no result.

I loaded these files and played them with VLC, MPc and Windows Media Player
I can open the files in question with the MM folder explorer, and then I look on the right in the folders where the music is located.
However, not in the MM library; only one file opens even though there are 27 in the folder.
ik heb tevens een mail gestuurd naar support@mediamonkey.com met een paar screenshots

It looks like files may have some corruption, resolving via Ticket.
