Constant 'out of memory' errors syncing to iPhone [#21975]

Hello everyone. Posting for a friend whom I recently introduced to MediaMonkey (among many others I've recommended it to) after he grew sick of iTunes. He installed the current version, 2024.2.0.3184, on Windows 11 25H2, and began syncing approximately 850 GB of MP3s (directly, without transcoding) to his iPhone 17 Pro 1TB - only to find that after 250 tracks or so, MM would throw an 'out of memory' exception, occasionally interspersed by 'Not enough memory resources are available to process this command', despite the system having 16 GB of RAM and over 100 GB of free drive space. As he continued syncing piecemeal, the threshold for tracks synchronised before throwing errors gradually dropped from 250 to 200, then eventually 150, at which point (with ~600 GB synced) another exception started being thrown:

I've tried searching for fixes on his behalf to no avail, and he has followed the troubleshooting threads to much the same result. What do we do next? It's not the end of the world - he's still slowly getting music copied over, but it's very tedious going. Thanks everyone.

Try a PC restart and a Sync again. Please capture this Sync in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

Can you please update to latest MM version (currently 2024.2.1.3209) from https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 86639&sd=d and see if it still occurs? If yes, can you generate a debug log and share it to our helpdesk? We'd really like to figure this one out before we release the new version.

p.s. Are you trying to sync YouTube Tracks? They won't sync, but perhaps it's related to the problem.

p.s. Are you trying to sync YouTube Tracks? They won't sync, but perhaps it's related to the problem.
Done. Submitted support ticket #15976. Yes it still occurs on the latest version. None of the tracks were ripped from YouTube, and all the tracks are syncing OK until the error is thrown.

Thanks for reporting, analyzing your log and I understand where the problem lies,
it is a regression in version 2024.2 and happens only when one selects group of files > right-click > Send to > Device (sync)

Will be fixed as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21975

Thank you very much. It turns out my friend was indeed doing that, rather than drag-and-drop. I asked him to try the latter, and sure enough it works perfectly.
