Google TV / Chromecast Sideload App

I sideload the app on my Chromecast 4K Streamer (Android TV) and it's a hot mess. It looks good, but it does not play well with the remote. There is no way to manipulate the track (pause, skip, restart, adjust shuffle/repeat, etc.). I am using version 2.0.0.1173. Is there a newer or improved version? If so, where? Thank you.
