In MM2 this script can only exclude tracks by folders.

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
FILTERS!! Yippee!! That's precisely the MM functionality I have been longing for for such a long time! Upgrade time.
Now, back to Advanced Report.
Could it be an idea for future versions of the script to include the possibility to display a tooltip with info from a certain tag (or maybe several) when hovering the mouse over a track?
When I hover tracks in my separate files advanced report I would like to be able to see the info in the 'Comment' tag (because i store lots or info about recording artists, instruments, labels etc. there). If a separate page would generated for each comment for each track then the amount of pages would just be too large for comfort. But if including the info in a tooltip popup then only a minor addition to the size of the HTML code would be required. Just using the alt-option inside the <a href> should do this trick, I think.
Perhaps an alteration of the way the script now works for linking to the actual music files would be possible?
E.g. in the advanced report dialog, not only ask whether to include links to the music file, but also ask whether or not to include data from a tag (to be specified by the user) into the tooltip popup.
In this respect I would also think it could be a good idea to allow the user to create such a tooltip popup while not forcing links to the actual music files, because I think there are many users like me whose databases consists of archived music on DVDs (so it's not available live) and linking to music files that can't be played because they are on a DVD in the closet would just be getting in the way of smooth functionality.
I personally think this could be a very nice addition to an already super wonderful script. If I have been unclear above or you have any question about how I visualize the functionality of this tooltip, then I'd be happy to help out hammering out the details. My knowledge is limited to html code though.
Ciao!

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
Hi there-
First off, I really love this script. Thanks for taking the time to build it and then to share it.
I'm having a bit of difficulty with the 'Comp Track Mask' field. I had experimented a bit with it but couldn't quite get it to do what I wanted. However, I can not blank out the field now. If I delete what I typed in the field and run the report, it is incorrect. When I go back to check my settings, whatever I had in the Comp Track Mask is back even though I deleted it.
Any idea what I may be doing wrong? I've tried re-installing the report, but no matter what I do, I cannot blank out the Comp Track Mask field.
Thanks,
Blake

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
If you blank it out it will revert back to the default. It cannot be blank otherwise any albums you have with multiple artists involved would not appear properly. If you make it the same as the AlbumMask then this would make sense and possibly do what you want.

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
Thanks for the tip. I've tried copying the album mask and that does the trick.
Thanks again for a great script!

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
Great stuff!
Is there a way to move the album art above the tracks in the detailed track listing?
Also, is there a description of what each option item does? (like comp track mask vs track mask) --- is that for 'compilation' and if so what defines a compilation vs. regular track?
Thanks for great scripts!

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
You might be able to amend the style sheet to move the album art, I'm not sure. Maybe not actually, it might currently be fixed in a table layout, sorry. The compilation masks are used for albums which have tracks with different artists.

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
Yeah - I didn't see anything in the css file that would allow repositioning.
That's why I asked.
Thanks for a great script! I may just have to go play.

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
I'd too like to reposition how the Album page displays. I have changed the HTML code to suit below, but need to know how to change the script code to generate it this way upon creating the report. (I cannot manually change the code for each album...I have close to 100,000 songs) Trixmoto, can you please help me to change the code in my copy of your script to ouput as per the example below?? It would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
The code above puts the album art to the left w/ track info aligned immediately to the left. I realize that viewing the code will not show the art as it is saved locally to my computer.
Thanks

Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
Hmmm - maybe there's a way to MOVE positioning to the CSS code? That might solve the problem at least for experienced folks who could change CSS?
Re: Advanced Report 5.3 [MM2+3]
I stated that the track list was "to the left", but should have said "right". The tracks are listed directly to the right of the art.
Sorry.
I would love if the css file would allow repositioning, but would settle for code to add myself.
Thanks
