Hi,
If tags are OK in MM5 you just need to remove files in MMA and resync.

You can also set enforce Sync mask on existing files in device profile under Sync Options -> File Location.

It didn't worked for you as you deleted files in MM5 -> read them as that way you treated files as new so MMA will not be affected. That also explains why when you removed files from MMA it synced correctly.

Behavior is normal as if Tags in MMA are correctly updated, but path do not it is due the fact that MM5 evaded non needed resync of files and save time for new syncs.

The sync should remove the files from MMA/the device when deleted from MMW.
You can also set enforce Sync mask on existing files in device profile under Sync Options -> File Location.
The file location set in the sync profile for Music is

\Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Track #:2> <Artist> - <Title>

Ok, I'll try to reign in my OCD on file paths.

Unless you Checked delete all other media and sync it will not delete deleted file because it woudl be considered device own file and if you enable Sync Device -> PC it would be copied back to PC. I know it can be complicated but till MMA 2.0 is best we have thought about.

Do you have Force Sync mask enabled?

Even when I changed it from "unselected" to "all other", it did not remove the deleted items from the folder tree.

I do now...
I just completed a sync with that on, no change to the file tree.
