Good morning,
already a long time I get the following message after installing a new release of the Monkey 5 prerelease:
Kan de ordinaal 4164 niet vinden in DLL bestand C:\Program Files(x86)\Mediamonkey 5\SSLEAY32.DLL
Translated:
Cannot find the ordinal 4164 in DLL file C:\Program Files(x86)\Mediamonkey 5\SSLEAY32.DLL
After the installation I get this popup message a few times. I deleted the SSLEAY32.DLL file and installed the application again now with the language english.
I get the same message again (in dutch) after installation, but also when playing music and that with every new musical number and that many times!
I have no idea what to do next.
SSLEAY32.dll

Re: SSLEAY32.dll
SSLEAY32.DLL is part of OpenSSL , this is needed to communicate via HTTPS/SSL protocol.
That's strange tha this erros out for you. Which OS/Windows version are you using?
Can you try whether 'ssleay32.dll' and 'libeay32.dll' versions from here https://github.com/IndySockets/OpenSSL- ... -win32.zip also produces the same error ?

Re: SSLEAY32.dll
Oh Ludek,
you will have no idea how ashamed I am for this late reply. My only excuse is that I am fully involved in being caregiver.
I have replaced both files as you recommended.
But the problem still exists. It only happens after installation now. Formerly it happened every time I started Mediamonkey The worst case was that it happened every time when playing music after each track.
So you see there is improvement!

Could you try whether some of the suggestions there makes the trick?

Re: SSLEAY32.dll
Hello Ludek.
These solutions are too complex for me, but if you insist I will try them out, although I am afraid that it is a solution for other problems (games?).
The only occurrence is after installation of an update. When I close the Mediamonkey application then, there is no more a problem.
So I better wait till I install Windows 11 and have a fresh installation for Mediamonkey, unless that installation takes the problem with him. In that case I have to make a real clean installation and have to build somehow my database of tall the music.
Thank you for your thinking,
Rogier

Re: SSLEAY32.dll
For a clean install see: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... diamonkey/
You can do that minus removing the database file.
You can also try a Portable Install separate of the current install. If it works you can then copy the database file and see if it keeps working.
