Hello all,
I have been using MM for many years and never had problems so far... since I updated from version 4 to 5 on my new PC.
I am used to use mouse buttons "Browser forward" and "browser back" for playback "next song" and "previous song". That was no problem with MM4. With MM5, the player changes the view of my playback list instead of playing the next or last song.
So I tried to change the keyboard settings like I had before but could not solve it.
What is the correct name for this player view setting change when I press my mouse buttons forward/back?
Tried to upload a scrrenshot from my keyboard settings but seems impossible here?
Thank you!

Tools > Options > Hotkeys check the settings for History: Next View and History: Previous View.

Re: Song playback with mouse buttons forward/back?
Thank you. I check and only have 3 buttons there:
Next view: ALT+Right
Previous view: Alt+Left
Previous view: Backspace
I don't think that these are the buttons I am looking for.
I manually set:
Playback: Next file: Browser forward
Playback: Next file: Browser back
but I see no change.
Next view: ALT+Right
Previous view: Alt+Left
Previous view: Backspace

Re: Song playback with mouse buttons forward/back?
They may be hardcoded in, thus can't be re-assigned. Don't have a mouse with these buttons to test.

Re: Song playback with mouse buttons forward/back?
Can you at least check if these buttons are hardcoded that I know if I have to play with hotkey settings a bit more or if this is wasted time?
I think mice with forward/back buttons are already quite common. Would be very cool if you find one.

Hi,
Thank you for report added https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=18737
The interesting thing is that if I Set My Keyboard Macro keys to send Mouse Back/Forward buttons then they do not work in both MM4 and MM5, but If I assign mouse programmable keys to Back/Forward then they are not detected in MM5, but they are in MM4.
EDIT: As MM UI is based on chromium, my best guess is that chromium handle/hardcode them and that is why they control Prev/Next View. For now use different shortcuts as they are hardcoded in chromium ATM.

Good that you could reproduce my issue.
Please let me know when something has changed. I am not a programmer or software developer so I think there is no way I try something else here.
