I'm embedding covers into my music files, in this case ogg, covers are usually 500x500.
Media source is UPnP, do not synch. Covers are crisp when file is played by other players, same when viewing in a tag editor.
Automatic cover search is off.

What are you using to embed Artwork and which DLNA server are you using?

Re: fuzy embeded cover
Art is embedded using beets plugin EmbedArt and DLNA server comes from squeezebox music server.
I can share a sample ogg file but can't post the link here.

Hi,
As you are investigating DLNA behavior can I ask you to try and see how https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... or.dk.dlna browse files? It is plain vanilla DLNA player without functions, but it is useful in comparing browsing capabilities with MMA

Re: fuzy embeded cover
Slick UPnP displays sharp thump pictures when listing directory tracks, but does not display cover art at all when playing a track, it also does not display any metadata.
HiFiCast displays cover art properly.

Hi,
So we are back to square one.
I know it is bit of work, but it could help us a lot in try to implement/make MM to support as much as possible.
If it is not too much hustle, can you please create full debug log as described at viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 and make few screenshots how MM see/browse/play and how others see/browse/play. After you have done that open support ticket and supply us the info, so that we can compare it with same internal tests and with having the log it is highly possible that we can see what is missing.
The hardest thing is to debug something that appears standard, but actually acts non standard.
