no music on track swap

When song switches to new track, audio doesn't pick up on the new track, but the time shows progress. Can easily remedy in the moment by restarting the song, but it is irritating that i have to manually do it for each track. It occurs with all sources, Bluetooth, wired into android auto, and when just playing through the phone's speakers.

I did not have this issue on my last phone (pixel 3a).

Disable Crossfade/Gapless in the MMA options and this should resolve the problem.
