Problem syncing empty autoplaylists over USB [#18526]

I have 5 autoplaylists setup for each star rating (e.g. '1 Star', '2 Star' etc). If any of these playlists are empty and I do a wifi sync, they get correctly sync'd to my phone and MMA displays all 5 of them in my playlists list (even though they're empty playlists).

But if I do a sync over USB, the empty autoplaylists get automatically removed from my device (even if I untick them in the delete confirmation popup). It then also seems to randomly delete all my other playlists during the USB sync and I have to do a wifi sync to fix things.

Syncing over USB seems to be very unpredictable especially if there are any empty autoplaylists for star ratings so I only really use wifi sync where possible.
