Under Library / Media Sharing you can define one or more MediaMonkey server for sharing your music in your environment. There you can also install MediaMonkey as Windows service, that the server(s) is/are available, even MediaMonkey was closed. This service is not working no more. The Rel. 5.0.3.2611 was the last one where it works.

Are you sure that Service have enough access to files? Do Sharing work normally when MM(s) are open and there is multiple servers?

The sharing works fine, when MM is open with one or multiple servers.
After closing the MM-Gui, the service start (I see it with the Process Explorer), but no one of the MM servers are now visible in the network!

Are you sure the Service is installed as the same Windows User as MediaMonkey itself? Media Server settings are per Windows User.

I'm sure the service is running as the same user as MM. I tried it also as the local system user. Same result.

I am not observing same behavior on My PC. Here is what I have done and it works:
1. Start MM5 2622
2. Go To tools -> Options -> Media Sharing -> MM library -> Configure -> Server -> Click on Check Server and taken screenshot of QR code.
3. Scanned QR code on my android phone to see the Server info and check connection and made sure that check Server opens MM server info in my default browser
4. Closed MM GUI
5. Repeated Step 3 (scanned QR code from screenshot as GUI is closed) -> Refreshed Page in default browser

Result was that both my Android and Browser showed refreshed page eg. server was available.

On my MM5 Server who runs on a Windows 11 Client it looks like the following pictures will describe:
On the left side you see the running tasks shown in the Process Explorer - on the right side you can see all the available media server:

1) The MM5 GUI is running (4 tasks) - there are 3 MM5 server available for other apps and devices:


2) The MM5 GUI was closed and the service was running - no MM5 server is available any more

Re-the problem with UAC not showing + subsequent failure to install service, I've spent several hours on inspecting this problem, but the problem is self-resolved by Windows 10 update to 21H2 edition.

Re the problem of service malfunctioning (originally reported as last working in 2611), I can confirm this issue.
It is regression introduced to build 2612 (caused by fix of #18947 )

Will be fixed in 5.0.3.2625
