Filenames get tampered with during sync

Filenames get tampered with during sync
When I sync the latest MM Win10 to Android it corrupts the names of my files. It trashes the existing filenames and renames them to a largely useless format. For my purposes, I can't have that happening to my files. Does anyone know if this is normal? If so, how can it be prevented by somehow disabling the function in the Sync Profile? I couldn't find any mention of this in the forums, help files or settings. Thanks.

Re: Filenames get tampered with during sync
Hello Fidocat,
It is always tedious to ask users about the current software versions.
Set up a signature - see my signature - you will get replies very quickly.
And while you're at it, upload screenshots. Program: see link in my signature.
My filname for ALBUMS: <Title> - <Artist> - <Album>.ext
others: <Title> - <Artist>.ext

Thanks, Erwin. My Win10 build is 5.0.3.2627 and my Android build is 1.4.5.0960.
I understand how to change filenames. The best (defacto standard) naming convention is <Artist> - <Album> - <Track#> - <Title> but not everybody sees the advantages. In my case many/most of my files are already named in specific ways and don't have tags. I create a lot of my own content (run a studio) and literally have thousands of files which need specific tagging/naming formats. Those cannot be tampered with, even when transferring to a mobile device. So the question is, how do I prevent MM from changing the filenames? Is there some simple checkbox or hack to prevent that from happening?

Well, ready-made file names are available on your PC/Laptop under MM5.
Use the following target device settings: Folder and <Filename>
For me it is: \MM5Musik\<Filename>

Ahh, that works! It's a bit of a hack but it works. Thanks, Erwin!

Re: Filenames get tampered with during sync
I am glad.
P.S.: Could it be that the terms <Random> or <Auto Number> were included instead of <Filename>?
