I recently connected Last fm to MM5 for Windows (on Windows 11)
When I played digital files (FLAC) with MM they correctly and pretty much instantaneously show up on last fm
When I played a CD on my PC using MM5 they don't scrobble to last fm.
Does MM5's Last fm integration not scrobble CD play?
thanks

Didn't know there is such a feature.
Adding a CD to the MM library? I'd like to not rip it if that's what you mean.

Re: Last FM scrobbling working with flac file play but not CD play?
Hi,
I meant That you just add CDs to MM library eg. File -> Add/Re scan files to library.
NOTE: You can separate Audio CD library from Rest of your library by:
1. Edit Music Collection and add criteria Extension Not Equal to CDA
2. Create new Collection and add these criteria
That way you will have your all Audio CD Collection separate under file (HINT: You can even Use Location tree Node to Name Media to your liking I have mine files under zero padded Numbering eg. 0001-9999), have all playback stats whenever I want.
FYI Audio CDs in MM library scrobble.
EDIT: I also added https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19240 for consideration

Re: Last FM scrobbling working with flac file play but not CD play?
Peke,
your response above didn't suggest playing using the Folders node, ie tracks not (yet) added into the MM db.
Is this supported? I do see the play menu options there.
I ask because I tried it today, and can't get it going (MM5 v2655).
What happens is that I select Play Now, the track is added to both of the MM5 Playing panels.
But the music that plays is just a replay of the last track that I cast to the player (ie. a track from within the MM db ... not the track I selected from the Folder node).
The MM5 Player panel also shows the incorrect other track ... ie. is out of step with the Playing Panels and my action, .. instead it shows what I can hear, not what I asked for.
I am casting the play to a Sonos unit using MM5, but since the MM5 Player panel is also out of step I it seems certain that the problem is coming from MM5, and not some problem with Sonos DLNA support.
Playing directly from the Folders node is supported in MM5?

Hi,
I am not sure what are you talking about as this is related to Last.FM scrobbles of Audio CDs that are not in MM library, not DLNA and Play to options. Audio CDs are completely separate thing and they are handles differently.
Please open new topic and give more details/steps on what you have done, it is bit hard to recreate steps and what type of files that you used, where and where from.

Re: Last FM scrobbling working with flac file play but not CD play?
At this stage all I am asking is if playing from the Folder node is supported.
I do see the Play menu items there but:
- They don't work for me
- and the way that you answered the question in this thread, suggested (to me) that playing from the Folder node was not supported ... ie. you were saying that he should add the CD into the database before playing it, when his other option was to open the CD drive in the Folders node, and then play it from there

Hi,
Like both user and me confirmed playing from folders node is and was always supported.
Only thing that was not working was Last. FM Scrobbling when playing tracks not in MM library that are played from Audio CD. That is why if playback from folder node do not work for you (it works for me and for user) then you need to open bew topic and state exact steps that do not work , so taht we can try to replicate.

Re: Last FM scrobbling working with flac file play but not CD play?
Whatever ... but I was the 1st person in this thread to mention the Folders node. so nothing confirmed until now ... unless you are referring to PMs or Tickets that I have no visibility of.
