How to show playlist in the right panel and drag and drop files there?

I am not seeing an option to view a new playlist in the right panel, instead of the default Now Playing view.

When I created a new playlist, it did sho[/img]w in the right panel at first. There was an instruction that I could drag and drop files into it, but that didn't work.

Can anyone assist?


Also when I view Toolbar or Options settings I get a distorted blank pop-up window. I took a screenshot but am not seeing an option in this forum to upload an image. I don;t want to go through the trouble of hosting that online to link to.

All Options pop up windows are empty, so there is something wrong with my MM install since they should look like this:
