Thanks for the debug log, could you please submit also the crash log that pop-ups with the "Invalid class typecast" exception?
i.e. clicking the [Send log] once the "Invalid class typecast" dialog is shown and write the log ID here.

Thanks!

Hi,
That MM5 error on "Invalid class typecast" should be fixed in 2411 when it gets released.

Sorry, maybe I was not clear why I even asked you to try MM5 (Sorry for "Invalid class typecast" annoyance, I was not expected it, but it is fixed now). Point of accessing Denon with MM5 was to gather more detailed information on Danon due the fact MM5 have and will provide us much more information on Denon than MMA. Like you pointed MM5 works normally and play tracks to Denon which means MMA should be capable too. Now with 2411 and unfortunate "Invalid class typecast" fixed we can get more details on Denon and see/check for any reason MMA do not see it.

I wonder if MMA would see MM5 correctly?

Hi,
is there any news on the matter?

I have the same problem with a Denon AVR-X1700H. MMW5 finds it, MMA does not. Other Apps can do. But MMA finds my Samsung TV.

Unfortunately, we don't have the Denon/Samsung equipment to replicate the problem.

Can you run MM build 1070, replicate the bug, and then submit a debug log (from the menu, click Help > Send logs) and share the log ID here?

That'll hopefully help us better understand the problem.

Thanks!

Hi,

here is the log id: NV111K6QRK

I took a look inside. There's a lot of information about the Denon. I hope it helps.

Another thing. I noticed yesterday that MMA does not transmit the song title to my car radio via BT.
All the other apps I have used so far have had no problem.
It's just an info in the dashboard, so it's not that important. But it would be nice anyway :-)

Best regards.

Same with marantz nr1711, not seen. Probably the same issue as Denon

They're from the same company so probably. However just in case a debug log (Help > Send logs) as requested below may be helpful.

V1074 - Marantz NR1711 in Cast Button List [#19861]

Post by TheEmpathicEar »

In v1704, it seems as if my receiver, Marantz NR1711, finally appears in the list "Cast to". I checked the IP Address and they match. But, when I click on "Marantz NR1711", it does not seem to connect? The receiver does not prompt or seem to recognize the attempt to connect?
EDIT: I also added the port number in the "Cast to" entry for the receiver. The only difference I can see is the entry there has no "-" between Marantz and NR1711 unlike the entry in the Comcast xFi app.

With the MMA version 2.0.0.1074, the Denon is found very quickly. Unfortunately it can not play it.
Nothing happens and after a few seconds MMA gives up.
It does not matter if the Denon is turned on or not at that time (can be turned on via DLNA with other apps).

I have sent you a log: X59H8EHFCI
