Hi,

We've fixed the bug with notifications being out of sync on certain devices/os versions (https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=20010 ) in build 1084 which is currently available as a beta . Can you confirm whether it works for you in this case?

Thanks!

Running 1084 now. Tried to send a log from the help menu [with a few comments - required]. But, since you had some Marantz receivers [or was that someone else?] IOW, I start a song playing, click on the "Cast" button, select the NR1711, and nothing seems to happen? What did you see when you did this with a Marantz receiver?
This back and forth can go on for a long time. I think I qualify for remote access? This would at least give you or someone else a clear look?

Hi, Sorry about that--I was referring to the issue that was raised with Roku displaying metadata out of sync with what was being played. We haven't actually tested it as we don't have that particular Roku device, but I just wanted to let you know in case it solves the problem.

Re. the Marantz issue, I'm sorry that it's open for so long, but with limited resources we have to focus our efforts on the issues that are affecting the greatest numbers users--right now there are still about 30 such 'urgent' issues that we're trying to tackle.

:-(

Oups, sorry, I missed your reply. THX for bump.

I tried to send a log with MM5. Unfortunately there was an exception. But the log file was created. Where can I store it?

If you need more info about the Denon, like the DeviceInfo.xml, then let me know.

Best regards, josch
You do not send Debug log from MM5 directly as it is made for developers to trigger exception in case of debugging addons. Instead you would need to supply full debug log as described at viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 and also MMA debug log (☰ -> ? -> Send Logs -> WRITE LOG ID here -> Press OK to send debug log from MMA) is needed after you try to play to Denon and fail so that we can compare which communication work and which one do not. That should complete debug info and we shoul dbe able to tracks where MMA fail.

MMA HEOS Add-on, Plug-in, etc.?

Post by TheEmpathicEar »

Is it cost that is holding up development for HEOS [Marantz] connections between MMA and the receiver? If so, what about another Add-On, Plug-in, etc. that would be an additional cost $$? i.e. Spotify uses HEOS for Spotify Connect to a Marantz receiver?

MMA and casting to Denon DRA-800

Post by Profzarkov »

Hi
Whilst browsing this forum I've seen many posts about this but very few solutions.

I really like Media Monkey and have paid for the gold licence on my laptop. The MMW runs fine and can easily find everything on my network, including the Denon receiver DRA-800.

But whilst running the app on my android phone, it doesn't even see the media player. I've tried to add it manually, I know the IP but not the port or any other detail. The Denon is wired into the router and has a fixed IP.

I can easily play Amazon music to the Denon via my phone. And I'd like to cast all my music to it via MMA.

Is there a way thru this?

I suppose I could switch on the LG TV and cast to that but that seems a bit of a daft thing to do ...

Grateful for any pointers

Hi,
Do you see denon using MM5 on Windows?

EDIT: Based on https://manuals.denon.com/dra800h/EU/EN ... _EU_EN.pdf I do not se it is DLNA renderer capable only that you can play music off DLNA Server like MM5 on Windows (Page 74 in manual)?

Yes, if you read my first paragraph you'll see that mmw 5 works extremely well on my new win11 laptop. It finds everything with no hassle....
It's just the app that is lacking.

Hi
Thanks for the reply but I do not understand your phrase

do not se it is DLNA renderer capable only that you can play music off DLNA Server like MM5 on Windows (Page 74 in manual)?

If I can play my android phones music via Bubble, why can't I do this with media monkey?

Is this something you're working on?

MMA do not have support for HEOS API as filed under https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19667 and also MM5 which do not have full support as described at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19668

With MM5 we can use custom libraries and make our own libraries/protocol workarounds, where with Android we are much more limited due the Google permissions standards and limitations per OS builds.

Devon 660 audio receiver connection

Post by wunderlong88 »

I have used BubbleUPNP to play music from my phone to my Devon 660 and home sound system. I don't really like the interface for playlists and such. Is it possible to use Media Monkey with my Devon?

I just downloaded the free version but would gladly pay for pro to have this feature.

Thank you,

It sounds like you mean the Denon AVR-S660H? In that case it may not work, as MMA works with industry standards of DLNA and Chromecast, neither of which are mentioned by Denon. Instead Denon seems fully committed to their proprietary heos app. You'd still have Bluetooth or AUX as options from a phone.

I was having trouble with the blue tooth working reliably. The Denon AVR 660 works through the wifi with the UPnP. I understand very little about all of this but I did manage to download Bubbleupnp and connect to my Devon AVR 660. I know it connecting through the wifi using UPnP but I am just parroting what I've read.

So, I guess I will continue to use that app for my music to Devon. Plays great, the interface seems very strange when it comes to playlists and music playback. Never seen anything quite like it and I feel like it isn't standard or user-friendly.

Was hoping to make something else work.
