The media monkey app automatically updated overnight to version 2.0.0.1073. Now whenever the phone (samsung galaxy S10, running latest version of android 12) is connected to the deck in the car, the music will play through the cars speakers, however, media monkey displays a blank black screen with the error message this app does not appear to be responding. when using the older version of the app (version 1.4 I believe); the screen would display the information for the song that was currently playing and allow you to use the app controls to play/pause, skip or go back.

If i uninstall the latest version and install an older version the app functions properly again, however, it auto updates again and breaks functionality.

Old version was just fine with me if there is a way to stop this update, that works for me.

1076 Build is just released to Play Store and it should fix your issue.

Open MMA page at play store and under ⋮ you should be able to disable Auto-Update.

After Auto updating, the MMA now is not reading the mp3 files on my phone. The same files that were being read just a few weeks ago.
Any suggestions???

Same here, and I have the latest version of MMA. Running the app on a Google Pixel 7 pro. I have to reboot my phone whenever I want the metadata to be seen on the car's infotainment screen. I had the free version and would get a message that metadata info would only last about 30 min in the free version, so I upgraded, considering the ability to sync wirelessly. If this app does not function like advertised, I want a refund.

Another serious annoying outcome of this recent update is that the volume level has stopped lowering when using Google Maps for directions. Now the volume for the MMA and Google Maps are at the same level and hearing Google Maps is almost impossible.

The Android Auto metadata bug is fixed in build 1076. Can you update and let us know if it works for you?

Thanks, I just rolled back to version 1.4 and disabled auto update.

Do you mean that they don't show in MMA and that scanning for the files doesn't resolve this? Which Build of MMA do you see this with?

Yep, that fixed my issue.

Late to the party, but had to uninstall and reinstall. On version 1.4.3.0950 after the reinstall. Now my Android Auto no werky either. It will not connect to my SUV. Fix?

I kinda see what is happening; the Amazon App Store is pushing an old download version for new downloads. Still would have appreciated a reply...

I have version 2.0.0.1099 on Galaxy S20. It doesn't even show up as an app on Android Auto any longer.
