Post by Bettina »

I was asked to elaborate on my problem from the google review here.
Sice maybe the last Updates from mma and maybe in combination with the android update i get the Error mentioned in subject.
I have an Samsung galaxy Flip 4 without an SD Card (its not the error mentioned here: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... s-sd-card/).
Version mma: 2.0.0.1079
Version mma pro: 2.0.0023
One UI: 5.1
Android: 13
Dou You need any other informations?
What I allready tried:
Deinstalling and reinstalling mma and mma pro.
deleting and new copyiing the media Files on storage of Samsung
Using other apps: the most work fine (but i don't like them much), one other with may same problems as mma but without error message.

Hi,
I wonder if problem is similar to described one in viewtopic.php?p=508916#p508916 but for internal storage?

Bettina,

Did you already try the following workarounds on Samsung devices?

1) Manually resetting Android to be able to accept application requests to change permission:
Go into Android Settings
Search for ‘All files access’ and tap it
Tap the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner and tap ‘Show System’
In the list, locate and tap ‘External Storage’
Enable the permission setting ‘Allow access to manage all files’
Restart MediaMonkey and Grant Permissions when prompted

2) OR Go into Android Settings
Navigate to ‘Security and Privacy’ -> ‘Privacy’ -> ‘Permission Manager’ -> ‘Files and Media’
Tap the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner and tap ‘Show System’
Then tap “See more apps that can access all files”
Enable “External Storage” for MediaMonkey

I don't know if these are actually relevant for you, because you're using internal storage, but nonetheless, I'm curious....

If this still fails to solve the problem, are you able to generate a debug log in MediaMonkey? i.e. after the problem occurs, click Help > Send logs and share the log ID here.

Thanks for help in getting to the bottom of this--this is a top priority issue for us.

Note: Bettina confirmed (via the helpdesk) that the first approach solved the problem. In build 1084 (now available as a beta), MMA refers users to the KB article directly.
