sound distortion using MM5

Hi,
I've been using MM since V3 and it's been great but I've now got a strange problem:
I'm playing ripped FLAC files mostly from my PC via USB in to a standalone DAC.
Theres a strange tizzy distortion appeared. At first I thought it was crap recording so I listened to it on Qobuz and it's great. Then I checked if it was a bad rip so I listened on my other hifi and it's fine.
Next I checked output volumes fro MM and from the PC in case I was overloading the DAC - that didn't change anything.
To summarise, its basically it's any checked files using MM but not on any other source and it's not volume related.

Any help would be appreciated.
